David and Zoya welcome people of all faiths and none to Ruach Retreat.
Reverend David Ray
Ordained in 1971 as a Methodist Minister, David is a passionate believer in the world being his parish. Alongside circuit ministry, David has sought to care for the communities where his churches have been located. David has supported those in Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous, as well as their families and friends.
He has ministered as a part-time chaplain in general and psychiatric hospitals, and in a category A prison.
David loves to develop creative worship and reflective retreats. He has a pastoral heart with a desire to support others in faith and ministry.
Dr. Zoya Zuvcenko
Extensive travel has given Zoya an appreciation of the way culture, nurture, environment and faith affect personality, attitude and approaches to life.
Zoya specialises in tutoring and training those who lack confidence.
She has a history of working alongside people who may have ADHD, dyspraxia, Tourette’s syndrome, dyscalculia, or be on the Autistic spectrum.
She also trains and supports their family, friends and colleagues.
Her doctoral studies explored how people who believe they struggle academically develop confidence, self-esteem and motivation, so that they can achieve academically.
As the daughter of a political refugee, Zoya has a sensitivity towards people who feel lost, emotionally, spiritually or cognitively. Her Christian background is Russian Orthodox.
